    Interior Redesign Before and After
    aug before and after

Before the redesign was done no one liked this bland family room. It is a new home and new furniture but was uninviting and lacked the excitement you home a new home will have.

All it took was a trained redesigner to turn this room into what they had wanted. Rearranging the furniture to create interest and function and adding a few things from other rooms to spread color throughout the room did wonders.

Valances are on their list of what to do next.

Purse Organization That Makes A Difference!
We usually address organization in the home, but I thought I would actually tackle organization on a more personal level. Do any of you ever have a hard time finding things in your purse? Here are some quick tips that will help you:

    • First, find a purse that will not only be stylish but an adequate and practical size to meet your needs.
    • Get a different color wallet so that it will be easy to find and contrasts with your purse color.
    • Get clear makeup bags to store similar type of items. This will eliminate time wasted looking for your lipstick or some stamps.
    • How about making copies of all of your credit cards in the event you would ever lose your purse? It will save you countless hours looking up all of that information.
    • Receipt storage is a big one. How about putting them temporarily in your wallet or another clear bag? Once a week go through your receipts and store in your files for any returns or exchanges that may be necessary.

Next time you need to locate something from your purse, you will be able to locate it quickly. What a feeling!

August Decorating Tip Remixed Rooms Style

To give your home a decorator’s touch, think unexpected. Decorating in the usual traditional style will only enforce a predictable home. Try some of the following unexpected tips:

    • Hang a delicate wreath on a plant stand, or door knob with a ribbon, rather than directly on the wall.
    • Hang a wreath on a coat rack and leave room for other ornamental accessories, which creates a work of art on something that is thought of mostly as utilitarian
    • Use wall sconces or candle sconces to hold floral arrangements in place of candles, and add a tassel for the unexpected.
    • Lay a delicate wreath on an old chair and sit it by the front door of your home or under a tree.
