with the Chinese New Year,
Groundhog Day, Valentines Day,
and Mardi Gras to give your
party a focus.
To keep your party fresh, avoid
the usual and go for the
unexpected twist.
Try a Fire and Ice theme.Organize an indoor or
outdoor ice rink excursion into
your plans then have everyone
back to your home for hot food
and drinks by the fire.Create a winter
wonderland tablescape to great
your guests and serve warm
"comfort foods".
How about a Groundhog
Day party?
Ask guests to email their
predictions, (will Phil see his
shadow?), in advance.Have prizes for the
winners like sunglasses, sun
block and tropical drink mixes,
or mittens, Chapstick and hot
cocoa mix.
Prepare a plan for either
outcome that can be easily
assembled.
Have a traditional picnic
indoors with all of the
customary foods-home made or
deli supplied-and serve it all
out of picnic baskets. Or if
it's six more weeks of winter,
build your menu around chili
with all the fixings, a
selection of hearty soups and
sides, or a fondue meal, all
served fireside.For
entertainment rent Groundhog Day
staring Bill Murray or just
enjoy an evening at home with
good friends, good food and good
conversation.
Pick a holiday that appeals to
your creativity and put your
stamp on it.
The homeowners made some changes to
their home and were no longer going
to use this room as their dinning
room. They didn't know what they
