Dear Lori,
It's that time of year again! We all want to clean, purge,
and redecorate to get a burst of spring freshness into our
homes. Now if we could just get rid of the rain!!!
This issue is packed full of ideas from cleaning and
organizing to decorating to hopefully inspire you to try
something fresh and new.
You'll also notice contributing articles from fellow
redesigners from across the US in our new co-op redesign
newsletter. After this issue LB Designs will be changing from
quarterly newsletters to monthly newsletters thanks to the
hard work of our co-op team. I hope you enjoy your future
issues and as always please feel free to give any feedback,
good or bad, so we can continue to provide our customers with
the best services and decorating ideas.

Fresh Ideas for Spring! |
 |
Do you need help freshening up your home for Spring?
Here are a few tips to help:
Color used as an accent can guide the eye through a
room and your entire home. Maybe that is in a pillow on
the sofa or in the fabric on your favorite reading chair.
Repeat it throughout your home so it pulls your décor
together. Be creative and have fun with it! Experiment
with different shades of the same color as you move from
room to room. -- Amy Owens

You Only Get One Chance to Make a First Impression! |
 |
It only takes 15 seconds for potential buyers to form
an opinion about your house. A Redesigner can help present
a home at its very best from the second the buyers see it
with Real Estate Enhancement. The goal is to accent the
positive features of your home and inspire potential
buyers to envision themselves living there. In addition,
be sure to have a clean front door and entry with a new
doormat and a splash of colorful flowers to give the buyer
a lasting impression before entering the home of their
dreams! An interior redesigner can help owners see their
home in a more neutral light, and give a home the special
attention it needs -- so the homeowner gets the very best
out of their home!
The first thing the buyer sees when arriving at the
home is the grounds and entry. It is important to keep all
shrubs and bushes trimmed and remove any dead debris. If
you can't see it, you can't sell it, so be sure the
positive features of the outside take center stage!
In addition, be sure to have a clean front door and
entry with a new doormat and a splash of colorful flowers
to give the buyer a lasting impression before entering the
home of their dreams! An interior redesigner can help
owners see their home in a more neutral light, and give a
home the special attention it needs -- so the homeowner
gets the very best out of their home! --Barbi Ford

Living Room Redesign - Before & After |
 |
A beautiful room with provencial furnishings, yet the
homeowner was not happy about the way the room felt. With
some "gentle redesigning" and the addition of a cozy
conversation area, the room has become as comfortable as
it is pleasing to the eye! --Julianna Hind

Spring Cleaning with the Whole Family
|
|
|
|
You know what they say, "Misery loves company!" So why not
take the work out of spring cleaning and involve the whole
family. Okay, I know what your saying, "Ya right, like my
kids are gonna want to help me clean!" Well, if you make
it fun and rewarding you just might be able to pull it
off. Start by agreeing on a family reward for all of the
hard work you will be doing as a motivator to get
everything done.
Now, divide the chores into categories: Dusting,
vacuuming, washing floors and walls, cleaning the kitchen
and bathroom, windows, general clutter removal, and
anything else that needs to be done. Now, divide the
chores amongst the family members by having each member
choose a chore, one at a time, until everyone has equal
work to do. Of course, if you have younger children you'll
have to give age appropriate tasks.
Make sure that you have all of the supplies you need
before you start so you don't have to run back and forth
to pick up forgotten items. Now, open the windows and let
in some fresh air which will give everyone a burst of
energy. Turn on some music (everyone gets a turn at the
dial). Order some lunch to be delivered so you don't have
to stop the momentum to cook. And don't let anything
interrupt you like the phone, tv or unexpected guests
(unless of course, they've come to help). ;)
If everyone does their own job you will be able to fly
right through your spring cleaning and start enjoying your
newly cleaned home and your reward.
This works for "The Maids" home cleaning service. They
clean in teams of four people, with everyone having their
own chore, so they are in and out of your home in under 1
hour. So if all else fails and you still can't convince
the family to pitch in, then at least treat yourself and
give "The Maids" a call. (603) 964-1633 or visit them on
